Over a year ago, Governor Jindal warned of the Left's coming assault on Religious Liberty. Their war on Religious Liberty is no longer silent. Business owners shouldn't have to choose between following their beliefs and being punished by the government. Protecting the rights of religious Americans, regardless of denomination, is vital for the continued prosperity of our nation. It is sad that the Left is on the wrong side of history; America did not create religious liberty, religious liberty created America.

* In 2010, Louisiana enacted its own Religious Freedom and Restoration Act to ensure that government shall not substantially burden a person's exercise of religion
* In 2015, Governor Jindal issued an Executive Order that makes clear that government cannot take adverse action against a person on the basis that such person acts in accordance with his or her religious belief that marriage is a union of one man and one woman.
